First, I commend FFX County on their website. It was easy for me to find the correct number to call.
Problem is, I’ve been on hold for nearly 45 minutes. Is it possible for a local government to be more bureaucratic than my federal bureaucracy?
Answer: Yes.

Why should you care? Well, I’m a federal employee for starters, so I shouldn’t have to be here.
Just letting you know that .000001658 % of your federal government cares about you. (<- figure does not include our brave law enforecement officers who are required to work. God Bless ‘em!)

You may remember Cynthia McKinney, who “allegedly” punched a Capitol Police Officer. Now, she’s running for President.
Don’t forget her main legislative “feat”
Tupac Amaru Shakur Records Collection Act of 2005 (HR 4210)
Seriously.
PS- It’s also worth pointing out that she went to the University of Southern California. Haha.
And people wonder why the House is so crazy. Maybe it’s not crazy — we are.
Anyone who has ever worked for any level of government can tell you about crazy letters, problem with McKinney is — she believes them.

In the recent controversy over Gwen Ifill’s partiality in the Presidential Race (she’s moderating tonight’s VP debate), I came across a quote that made me nearly pee my pants.
Side note:The Obamas: Portrait of an American Family by Gwen Ifill (and you’re telling me she’s impartial?)
Ifill works as a Senior Correspondent for NewsHour, run by Jim Lehrer, the moderator of the first Presidential debate.
Here’s what I found funny. So, in this article, it closes with:
The moderator of the first debate, PBS’ Jim Lehrer, has strict rules on impartiality: “News Hour” employees cannot have political bumper stickers on their cars in the company parking lot.
Whoope-dee do. No bumper stickers. That must mean they’re impartial! Reminds me of Joe Scarborough calling out David Schuster for “being a registered independent” — as if that made everything alright and exhonarated all media bias.
Here’s what is so funny. At the Republican Convention, I remember standing next to some of the “News Hour” staff in the Diageo Hospitality bunker, watching C-Span’s coverage on big flat screens.
Here’s the exchange:
“News Hour” Staffer: “Man, fuck Giuliani. Seriously. 9/11? Everything’s about 9/11. I want to give the rebuttal to this guy.”
Me: “Oh, too late man, MSNBC is already on that.”
And here’s another one, during McCain’s speech from a different staffer.
“News Hour” Staffer: “I don’t know how you can say you’ll change things when you vote with Bush 90% of the time.”
I wanted to lecture her on how wrong that “fact” is due to unanimous consent agreements and how the Senate functions, but chose to keep drinking.
Those two interactions with “News Hour” staffers — brandishing their credentials, convince me that Jim Lehrer’s “no bumper sticker” rule is just shadow and mirrors.
I think this Ifill thing is bullshit. She did not notify the commission on presidential debates about her Obama book. Game over. Shoulda found a new moderator.
Why not have Bob Woodward moderate it? Or Keith Olbermann for that matter?

Here’s a copy of the “bailout bill” that is going through the Senate tonight. It may be amended.
